THE DEVIL INSIDE HER
From the fevered yet talented mind of Zebedy Colt comes this 1977 Satanic shocker, THE DEVIL INSIDE HER. This is about my fourth or fifth Colt film but I feel I could recognize his work at this point without seeing credits. The guy has a style and in his own way is quite good. While his films look and sound crude, he really manages some unique and simple touches that show a lot of imagination and ingenuity. The flick itself reminds me of Young Goodman Brown mixed with HAXAN and some Kenneth Anger.
It's 1826 New England. A puritanical farmer (Colt), catches one of his daughters, named either Faith or Hope, I don't remember and it don't matter, kissing Joseph, her beloved. Dad strips her and whips her as she leans against a wagon wheel. Nice touch. The other daughter, let's go with Hope, lusts for Joseph and goes into the woods where she prays to god or the devil to have him. Which brings us to the Devil. He's a kinda low, low budget Kiss knockoff, maybe closer to the legendary Donny Most's genre shattering performance as Moloch than Gene Simmons, but he does have an extremely elastic scrotum which he yanks into fun shapes. While he stretches his pud and sack the soundtrack plays a mix of backwards sounds and monk-ish chanting. Gregorian not Shaloubian. From this point ol' Scratch shape-shifts via in camera tricks into different cast members so he/she /it can fuck pretty much everyone. Hope meets up with an old wood witch who has a parrot and looks like Andrea Martin from SCTV. Once again using primitive but effective in camera tricks, the parrot is turned into a wood demon, who resembles a 1977 Honcho magazine cover model. The witch tells us he has no seed of his own but collects it from lustful farm boys who jack off in the fields. The witch has a fair amount of complicated witch dialogue that she recites well for this type of flick. Once again, it's these type of details that set these Colt films apart. Honestly, a porno flick could've done without this but Colt has some talent and vision so it's there. Hope sucks off the wood demon before she is rigorously boned by the devil and later by various vegetables. Bravo,I say. Faster than you can say "watch out, Doug McClure, Kim Novak is really Satan" the devil as Dad fucks Hope, as the mom fist fucks Faith before taking her with a strap on and there may be more I forgot. Basically, everybody gets fucked. The real Dad is attacked by a mastiff at some point, but regrettably is not fucked by the mastiff. Oh well. It all leads to a witch's sabbath where there's an orgy (duh). Fortunately, Annie Sprinkle is there and gets a well mounted and hydrating golden shower from three different guys. Man, she does like getting pissed on. The orgy itself is a no budget phantasmagoria of fucking and sucking that is actually pretty nightmarish. It's very much Lucifer Rising with various freaks and whores in costume, everybody trying to get off, satanically of course. The dad and Joseph show up and try to save the day and Faith. This was a good porno movie and a decent satanic flick as well,lying somewhere outside of underground and chock full of ideas and originality. It reminds me of the cover to the first Black Sabbath album come to life with perverse sex and a backyard do it yourself movie making mentality. The dvd from Something Weird I watched looked like it had been hiding in your creepy uncle's water damaged basement but it really adds to the ambience. You freaks should check it out.
