LUST AT FIRST BITE
Another disco era vampire porno starring Jamie Gillis once again as Dracula. Man how do these things keep finding me? This is a pretty good porno flick, better than DRACULA EXOTICA. Great golden age cast and for some reason, our old pal, Reggie Nalder. Yeah, you kids remember him, he was in DRACULA'S DOG. He always said "No Zoltan" and Yes, Zoltan." So he plays the Van Helsingy guy in this and mostly mumbles while looking embarrassed. The cast includes John Leslie as Dr. Seward ,his sister is Kay Parker, Mina is Annette Haven, Lucy is Serena, John Holmes is a doctor, Seka is a nurse and a few others like that one guy...Paul Thomas. So Leslie runs a sanitarium and Dracula shows up. Why Nalder is there, well I have no idea. The film appears to be shot at someone's castle and with stables serving as the cells for the inmates. It's one of those dopey castles some millionaire who really liked Dungeons and Dragons might have built. Gillis does an okay Dracula, if you consider the legendary Roger Engel/Zandor Vorkov reinvention to be the logical starting point from which all great Dracula performances are born. There's some shots looking at him down on the lawn from the castle that made me think "Hey, what's Dracula doing out there on the St. Augustine?" There's some odd stuff in this flick such as the Baby Jane character who thinks she is a young girl but still likes cock. She has a scene with a cowboy while an old song about cocaine plays. I never saw this film come through the porn store I worked at for a few years and I think that scene and some others may be why. There was a period where anything with women pretending to be girls or incest was yanked from the shelves. Leslie fucks his sister Kay Parker and there's a necrophilia scene too. Sadly Parker's hypnotic milf rack is not really highlighted. The tragically fascinating John Holmes has a couple of scenes, one where he stretches out Seka some more. He's still able to get a boner at this stage, not like those sad later movies. Annette Haven looks great as always and just has the one scene with Gillis I think. Serena makes a good vampire slut since she looks like one already. There's an awesome rubber bat and the guy who does Renfield is good too. The score uses lots of classical and even squeezes in some Strauss from 2001. Through the whole film corny wisecracks are announced over the asylum loudspeaker like "Someone has stolen the morphine" or "the lobotomy room is ready". You know, real crack ups. A black guy does a Mantan Moreland bit and sings "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". But it's not boring and the sex scenes are pretty frequent. The scene where Gillis jacks off on Serena looks like it may have had a golden shower scene cut from it, she sure looks wet at the end of that scene for no apparent reason. If you like classic porno, you should like it. Nice to see all natural women and hairy pussies again.
