BABY ROSEMARY
Here's a pretty dark porno from 1976 with some definite horror moments, BABY ROSEMARY. Directed by Harold Perkins who is allegedly John Hayes (GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE) it's pretty much a downer but is a pretty entertaining mid-seventies psycho sexual nightmare. It would make a great double feature with THE PERFUME OF THE LADY IN BLACK. Sharon Thorpe, who was in my favorite porno ever, CANDY STRIPERS, stars as Rosemary. Rosemary has daddy issues and is a pretty sad chick. John Leslie is a cop who likes her but like I said she's got issues. Most of the plot seems to revolve around her dad dying and his funeral as Rosemary seems to stumble around in a daze. She won't let Leslie fuck her so he goes to a hooker ( Leslie Bovee)that pretends to be Rosemary for him, but a really fun Rosemary. She demands a rim job before getting reamed in her apartment hallway. It's a pretty hot scene. Rosemary then is forced to eat some pussy at knife point by a man and woman her dad knew because he took porno pictures of the couple. Some dopey chicks she knows do some sort of sex magic ritual at the funeral home, where they have to fuck the mortician because it's their religion. None of it makes sense, but the chicks(including Candida Royale) are pretty hot and the whole thing has such a weird, dreamlike feel. Rosemary ends up with her dad's friend who goes all psycho after jacking off on her, only to be saved by Leslie when the dude threatens to cut her up. The ending involves a hot but disturbing smoke machine filled orgy at the funeral home where Rosemary is fucked by everyone including a guy in skeleton make up who may be her dad. There's a pretty nice all girl daisy chain. The music is pretty cool and during the orgy is all spooky like an old haunted house record. The end is bleak and sad as Rose Mary seems doomed to wait for her father to rescue her. It ties pretty well with the opening credits of someone looking through an old family album as haunting "looking through an old family album" music plays.
